The Agira Vineyard is a small 3 acre vineyard planted by Geng and Ed Passaro in 2001. The vineyard is planted with Cabernet Sauvignon clone 337 on 1103 Paulson rootstock. The name Agira is Italian for a little blue bird, and also is the name of the town from which the Passaro family comes. It is planted on an East facing slope and ripens in the more gentle morning and early afternoon sun.
Intensely structured, the ‘08 Post exhibits deep aromas of silky caramel and black cherry. The palate is deep and bold with flavors of smoky oak and clove that exude subtle hints of lavender. 181 cases produced
